Beside the sterilising effect of cold during application all CRYOALFA devices can be sterilized with steam. They are gold plated, what gives an antibakterial effect.

For devices with a tip, the liquid gas from the capsule is applied directly to the lesion.
In devices with a closed applicator, the liquid gas is applied to a gold-plated brass stamp. This is then cooled down and then placed on the lesion.
All devices can be connected to the following cartridges: 16g and 25g.
